M.E. Foundation Inc

Inclusion Always

Welcome to our website, where we understand the unique challenges that come with being the primary caregiver for a child with a disability.

About M.E. Foundation

Tyrone Hicks, born and raised in New Haven, CT, found his passion for coaching while attending Clark University. Inspired by a childhood friend with cerebral palsy who lived life to the fullest, Hicks later became a parent to a child with the same condition. This experience motivated him to challenge societal perceptions of people with disabilities.

He volunteered with organizations like Seven Hills Foundation and Special Olympics, coaching flag football for seven years and fostering a safe and inclusive environment. His dedication earned him recognition and awards, including the Boston Celtics Heroes Among Us Award in 2022.

Hicks firmly believes in the transformative power of sports for individuals of all abilities and ages. Moreover, he advocates for disability rights and inclusion through speaking engagements and collaboration with various organizations, striving to make the world more equitable and welcoming for everyone.
